May 20: The Neuroscience of Love

Is love, as the Beatles say, really all we need?On Sunday, May 20, 1:30pm, we’re excited to host Dr. Paul Zak (“Doctor Love”), a neuroscientist and leading researcher on the brain science of love and trust. Dr. Zak is the author of the new book, The Moral Molecule, a fascinating exploration of how science (and chemicals) makes us moral (or not), how loneliness can kill us, and how our makeup determines how we interact with each other.

Check out his popular Ted talk and an interview he did with our online magazine, The New Humanism.

The Humanist Contemplative Group will lead us in a loving kindness meditation (one of our favorites!) as part of the afternoon’s interactive exploration of love and the brain.
