Giving
Motivations for giving to the Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard are highly personal and varied. You may be a Harvard alumnus/ae who has recently discovered Humanism and never knew there was a community attached to your beliefs. You may be a supporter of religious pluralism, eager to see the Humanist and non-traditionally religious perspective gain a voice in the dialogue among world religions. You may be deeply concerned with the rise of the religious right in the US and with religious fundamentalism around the world, recognizing that a strong community of future Humanist leaders might just help turn the tide towards greater freedom, openness, and inclusiveness. Or you may simply be delighted to know that Humanist, agnostic, atheist, and non-religious students have a “home away from home” on Harvard’s campus– albeit one with an annual budget barely 2% that of the comparable Harvard Hillel.
If you have ever considered giving to an organization representing the best interests, needs, and hopes of Humanism, the Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard may just represent a perfect opportunity. And we need your support today, more than ever. So join Tom Ferrick’s Circle!
