Humanist Small Group Biweekly Sunday Brunch!

The Humanist Small Group (the “HSG”) is a biweekly discussion group for people who identify with, or seek to learn about, Humanism. We’re known for our inclusive discussions, with an environment of community and intimacy, including both intellectual and personal topics. Although most attendees are atheists, agnostics, and other non-theists, the HSG is open to people who consider themselves religious. The HSG is sponsored by the Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard and the Harvard Humanist Alumni. Although most members are Harvard affiliates, the HSG is open to all. Newcomers are welcome to all the regular, biweekly meetings. We generally meet at Andala Café in Central Square over great food and drinks, but please join our Facebook group page: “Humanist Small Group” for latest times, dates, and to RSVP, which we strongly recommend.

Humanist Small Group Fall 2008 Meeting Dates: 9/21, 10/5, 10/19, 11/2, 11/16, 11/30, 12/14…Mark your calendars now and seefacebook for exact times/locations!

Who are we?

HAA - Harvard Humanist Alumni

HHA is a new organization, operating within the Harvard Alumni Association, as a Shared Interest Group. HHA is primarily for alumni of all Harvard schools, but also includes current and former faculty, staff, and students, as well as close relatives of alumni. Our purpose is simply to create a community for Harvard Humanists after their student years, addressing their spiritual needs through various life stages. Thus far HHA has helped develop the Humanist Small Group, a regular discussion group, and cosponsored mini-courses on consumption and communication. We also plan to have an e-mail discussion forum, a journal of members’ writings, and seminars on Humanist parenting. We are very much in the development stage and look forward to your suggestions!

We look forward to seeing you at a weekend Humanist Small Group meeting!
